Al Dar: Short Films from Yemen
OVERVIEW
A screening of six short films by Yemeni filmmakers on the theme of 'home'.
Screenings in London, Aden, Detroit, Amman and more locations TBC

Al Yamaniah and Yemen Art Base have teamed up to present 'Al Dar: Short Films from Yemen'. Al Dar means ‘home’ in Arabic, and all the selected films engage with this theme.
The main aims are:
- To celebrate young filmmakers of Yemeni heritage
- Increase exposure to Yemeni-made films
- To showcase their work through a series of film screenings both in and out of Yemen

Upcoming Screenings
Our inaugural screening will take place at the Garden Cinema in London on Saturday 28th October at 5pm. The screening will be introduced by the project co-lead, Asma Ibrahim.

The screening sold in just over 24 hours after the announcement, by popular demand there will also be a follow-up screening on Sunday 29th October.
